Mini-Tournaments and Playtesting
Friday (24 October) is dedicated to the mini-tournaments.
This years mini-tournaments are:
Boot Camp
Co-ordinator - Ian Pollard
Commentary - New to the game? Using the Starter Kits or want to progress to the full rules? Then Boot Camp is for you. Play against opponents who are also new to the game; learn the basic rules and the basic tactics of our favourite game.
Normandy 1944
Co-ordinator - Ian Daglish
Commentary - Celebrating the release of the new Action Pack, key contributor Ian Daglish will host a mini tourney featuring selected scenarios from the pack. Ownership of the pack is recommended though not essential (tell the other half it is if you're still looking for an excuse to buy this fine publication!). Entrants will be expected to be familiar with the new rules and clarifications for Wall Advantage and Bocage.
Tournament Classics
Co-ordinator - Tim Bunce
Commentary - A chance to replay some of those classics from past tournament play, Tim will offer a choice of scenarios played over two rounds. Note that the scenarios on offer will be larger than those tradiionally offered in previous mini-tournaments, hence being played over two rounds.
Kohima Playtest
Co-ordinator - Shaun Carter
Commentary - Legendary scenario designer Shaun will offer another chance to help refine scenarios (or just marvel at the maps) depicting the fighting around the compound on the perilous ridge.
