The London ASL tournament “Double One” returns in 2011, over the weekend of June 24th to 26th, with the same venue as 2010 and continued support from its main sponsor, Leisure Games, as well as a new sponsor, Key's Games and Hobbies.

Double One's venue offers excellent value for money bed and breakfast accommodation, a large gaming room, open for extended gaming times, and is located close to Chelmsford, Essex, with easy access to London via a 40 minute main rail link, the M25, and Stansted international airport.

The weekend

The gaming room opens at 9am on Friday 24th June. We will be running a couple of one day minis (4 or 8 entrants, straight knock out) but players might like to consider tackling one of those big monster scenarios that you never get chance to play in a morning or afternoon.

On Saturday morning, players will have the option to continue open gaming or enter the main tournament. Participants that want to take part in the latter will be entered approximately according to their ASL ladder rating. Subject to demand, we will also be running a Starter Kit tournament.

Players will be organised into groups of 4, and will play each other on a round robin basis. Round 1 commences at 9.30am, round 2 by 2.30pm, and round 3 on Sunday morning at 9.00am. Details of the tournament scenarios will be released in January 2011 and will be sent to all those pre-registered at the time.

Mini-tournament sponsors include Friendly Fire and Le Franc Tireur. Like Leisure Games, they have kindly agreed to provide prizes for mini tournament winners.
